Music Studio Policies
Practice Partner
One parent/guardian is to be the student's practice partner. The practice partner should be committed to both attending lessons and practicing with the child daily. You will also need to ensure they are listening to their assigned music CD each day. Please take notes during the lesson so that you are best able to help the student at home. I will teach you everything you need to know, so no worries if this is all new to you. :) Simply having that extra bit of daily guidance is going to drastically impact your child's skill level for the better!

Referral Bonus
If you refer me to another family for music lessons, you will receive one free lesson from me as a thank you. The free lesson will be applied the month following the new student(s)’ first lessons.
Absences
One make-up lesson is already built-in to each semester’s tuition. No other make-up lessons will be included during the fall and spring semesters. If a student does not require a make-up lesson, he/she will have one free lesson each semester. 😊 Because the summer schedule can be very hectic for most families, make-up lessons may be permitted during this time. (The summer tuition is also cheaper to counteract this.) Please speak with your teacher ahead of time about possible make-up lessons in the summer due to vacations, etc.
Remote lessons through Zoom are an option for students who need to stay home due to illness, weather, transportation issues, or other scheduling conflicts.
In the event that the teacher misses a lesson, it will either be rescheduled at a time that is mutually convenient for the student and teacher, or we will credit your account.

Media Release
In order to train other music teachers, promote music education, and assess my own teaching, music lessons may be photographed or recorded. All students will be asked to give permission for me to record sounds, images, or videos of them during their lessons and to use those sounds, images, or videos at my sole discretion in publications (including print, websites, and social media platforms) that I own in relation to music lessons. If you desire your child to be exempt from this media release, please contact me in writing prior to the beginning of your child's lessons.
