Hello. 🙂  My name is Johannah Highhouse. I am a private music instructor in NE Pennsylvania, offering lessons in piano, violin, flute, and voice. The goal of my studio is to provide an inspiring, academically-sound learning experience for all of my students. I incorporate hands-on music theory, ear training, and sight-reading into my lessons. Teaching is my passion!  I enjoy watching my students progress in their musical endeavours.  No matter what age or skill level a student is at, every child can learn!  If you long to play beautiful music, let's chat! 💜🤗  

I began my musical journey at the age of 7 with private piano lessons.  I was later able to add flute, voice, and violin to my musical studies.  I have had the privilege of studying under both the Royal Conservatory of Music and Conservatory Canada.  I have a bachelors degree in sacred music as well as a second bachelors in elementary education. I am also a trained Suzuki piano teacher and have certification in the Kodaly method. With a wide variety of musical education and experience, I am equipped to teach students with many different learning styles and abilities.
